Scavenger Hunt Lists — Have Someone Else Do It

November 23rd, 2009

Hey gang, Fred here –

Nothing like having someone else come up with your scavenger hunt lists, eh? There are lots of free places you can bumble around and find….or you can pay a party planner to do it–depends on your budget.

Whatever you decide, make it easier on yourself — Pick a Theme

Importance of Themed Scavenger Hunt Lists

Having a good strong theme makes it easier for you to focus on your list making efforts…or searching for that matter.

Themes can be as simple as “tropical,” “winter” or “80’s”….or more complex scavenger lists can be concocted depending on your crowd: “famous speeches,” “pictures of presidents,” “Star Wars items”…the sky is the limit.

Don’t go too narrow

Make sure your list isn’t so narrow that you have everyone in the same area looking for the same things. For example, Things in the Kitchen might cause a problem if you have more than, oh I don’t know, ONE person playing.

As always, be creative and enjoy.

Cheers,
Fred

List of Things to Find in a Scavenger Hunt — Personalize it!

November 4th, 2009

Hey gang, Fred here–

Putting together a list of things to find in a scavenger hunt can be a royal pain. Especially when it comes to more adult themed occasions like office parties or cookouts.

One Quick Tip

Odds are, you know the people you’ve invited or who’ll be attending the scavenger hunt. Brainstorm a quick list of:

1) Funny stories / events from work
2) Nicknames of any of the attendees
3) Favorite sports teams or figures
4) Popular hang outs in town
5) Not-so-popular hang outs in town
6) Hobbies of your or the attendees

Just by jotting down items from above, you should be able to come up with a tailored list of things to find for your scavenger hunt that will make it both personal, and probably entertaining.

Cheers,
Fred
